My paintings are a geometric, abstract collection of my take on the world. Normally in black and white, more or less repetitive. Always with a colourful element, either in the background or within the pattern.
By arranging the elements in a certain way, new elements appear like a concave or a heart. The ink painted lines are never straight, showing imperfection.
The imperfection reflects on the distraction of life. Every day is unique, never the same. And for most of us, we don´t see that we follow a very similar pattern. Only if we break free, arrange days differently or choose to go another pattern, we will experience something new.
My art may not change the world as a whole. But it´s nice to look at and has a deeper meaning. People may want to hang it on their wall remind themselves to change their way of living. But at the same time, visitors without the knowledge of the meaning may never get this message. I think this is a very powerful thing.
